The Bed and Breakfast
business is the fourth endeavor into which Daisy has ventured. Who would expect an accountant having
a professional designation, a former licensed immigration consultant and a full-fledged writer to
consider running a bed and breakfast business in Chilliwack?
Daisy was the seventh
president of the Chinese Women Writers Association, a worldwide organization and served as a member
of the Canadian Consultative Council on Multiculturalism in 1979-1980, providing advice to the
Minister on multiculturalism. Furthermore, she served as a member on the Immigration and Settlement
Committee for the Government of Alberta. She was further decorated with Commemorative Medal, 125th
Confederation of Canada in 1994.
Daisy left Edmonton
over seven years ago, after the Council awarded her the title of The Honorable Ambassador of
Edmonton. Her clients had brought significant investments to the dynamic city trough her
tireless efforts. The then mayor, Bill Smith, was disturbed at her decision to leave.
Since then, she has
made Chilliwack her home and now would like to invite visitors to enjoy this beautiful city,
surrounded by a gorgeous mountain view.
Once a writer always
a writer, she is anxious to share her fine arts collection and library with her guests. Her hope is
that this latest endeavor will enrich her creative writing ability as a book is in progress.
